Surviving Vickers Gun Register

South Africa has had a long and august relationship with the Vickers MMG and to a lesser extent, other Vickers Models with the Vickers MMG serving the Country in both its .303 BRT and unique 7.62mm NATO variants for over 40 years.  (See the Vickers in South African Service).

Although South Africa has now destroyed her remaining stocks of Vickers MMG, the Country is blessed with a group of ardent Vickers preservationists the leading lights of which are SAAACA Gauteng Members, who are, passionately dedicated to the preservation of the small number of Guns that remain in private Collections and continue to research and contribute to the World Wide knowledge pool of these unique and interesting Arms.

To this end and in line with SAAACA Gauteng's stated mission and research initiatives, an anonymous Register of all surviving Vickers Guns has been created in small contribution to the World Wide and South African Research effort for these unique Arms.

Keepers and Owners of all Vickers Guns are asked to anonymously contribute data of the surviving Guns in their care to the Register which is freely maintained by SAAACA Gauteng and made available to all interested persons, via the SAAACA Gauteng Website.

Your contribution, however small, is greatly appreciated and will contribute to the knowledge pool for these Arms.
