From Top to Bottom:

1) British .303 type sling used as standard from WW1 through to the '70s on all marks of Enfield and FAL/R1 rifles

2) FAL/R1 sling introduced in the late '70s when the R4 was being introduced. Identical in all respects to the R4 sling with the exception of the broad end buckles and straps (will not fit narrower R4/5 swivel). All of these slings in inventory were converted to the model below - hence the current scarcity.

3) FAL/R1 sling converted for use with R4/5 by cutting off end straps and replacing with narrower R4 width straps. Note that the buckles are the original broad buckles as above.

4) R4/5 sling manufactured for that purpose with narrow buckles and end straps.
